Riding the Shanghai subway is easy and this video will prove it to you. To prepare your trip, have a good subway map so that you can plan your destination. We like this one: http://www.exploreshanghai.com/metro/ They have a smartphone app as well. The app works offline. It helps you plan your route, has maps of the area around the subway and will find the nearest subway stop. Some stations are very large and have many exits. Check the map inside the station to avoid walking forever to your destination. Visit our channel for more tips about China travel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHfhu5RwuNrVu_8H8l62uxw

The final video from our FIRST day in Shanghai Disneyland! I can't believe all the things we did and saw! We thoroughly explored Treasure Cove - Shanghai's Pirate themed land. We checked out Barbossa's Bounty and did the Pirates ride. Later, we got a chance to see Shanghai's Club 33! Excuse all of the weird conversations and wind in my clips - my phone was on 1% battery while we were in there and I was trying to film as much as possible. I didn't get a lot of footage so I just left everything I had in this video! Hope you enjoyed seeing it! We did not end up coming back to eat there but I'm so happy I got to see inside. Shanghai is undoubtedly one of the most creative cities in China, but even for them this is brave. The Shanghai Shimao Property Group is currently looking to build a hotel inside a pit that is 70 meters deep and 36,800 square meters large. This pit wasn't always a hole. In fact, it used to be a mountain from which many rocks were taken for construction purposes but after half a century of digging, it has turned into a pit that has been half-flooded with groundwater. In order to ensure the whole project would go exactly to plan the design team has spent the last 7 years making sure every small detail is covered, from fire exits to earthquake safety. The whole project is estimated to be finished in 2015 and cost 600 million RMB in total. Getting a room here will cost you 2,000 RMB per night....

Travel video about destination Shanghai. Shanghai is a gigantic city that is a meeting point of both east and west. The shoreline is without a doubt the city's main focal point. The city is a combination of the past, present and future and contains the historic monuments and eye-catching buildings of a great metropolis. It was once referred to as 'The Whore of Asia', 'Capital of Crime', 'the Paris of the East' and 'The Centre of Maoism'. But today, the city is ruled by modern-thinking communists and the Yangzi Delta is not only China's largest port but also its new shining star of capitalism. The Oriental Pearl Tower is a mighty 468 metre high television tower that contains an entertainment centre, futuristic luxury hotel, fine restaurant and offers the most superb views across the city. ...
